Privacy Policy

Effective date: 13 May 2026 · Operator: Dr. Mehak Gupta's Dental Studio, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, India

What data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Identity and contact details — such as your name, phone number, email address, and date of birth when you book online, complete an intake or contact form, or register for reminders.
• Appointment information — preferred dates and times, treatment type or reason for visit, and notes related to scheduling.
• Health-related information you choose to provide — for example medical history, allergies, medications, or dental concerns submitted through our intake form or during messaging, limited to what is relevant for your care.
• Technical data — basic server or analytics information when you use our website (such as browser type and approximate usage patterns), where such tools are enabled.
• WhatsApp identifiers and message content — when you message us on WhatsApp, Meta processes data according to their terms; we receive the content needed to respond and manage your care (see below).

WhatsApp

We may use the WhatsApp Business Platform (provided by Meta) to reply to your enquiries, confirm appointments, send reminders or follow-ups you have agreed to, and share clinic information you have requested.

• WhatsApp messages are subject to WhatsApp’s terms and privacy policy in addition to this policy.
• We only use WhatsApp in line with applicable rules (for example, appointment reminders or responses to your messages). Marketing messages, if any, will only be sent where permitted.
• Do not share sensitive health information in chat unless you are comfortable; you may prefer to discuss detailed medical history in person or via our secure intake process.

Appointments and contact forms

When you book an appointment through our website, by phone, by WhatsApp, or in person, we use your details to:

• Schedule, confirm, reschedule, or cancel visits;
• Prepare for your appointment and maintain dental records as required for clinical care;
• Send you operational communications (for example confirmations or reminders);
• Improve our services and comply with legal or regulatory obligations applicable to healthcare providers in India.

Intake and contact form submissions are stored securely and accessed only by authorised clinic staff and systems needed to operate the practice.

How we use and protect data

We use personal data only for legitimate purposes connected to operating the clinic and providing dental services. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Data may be processed on secure servers or cloud services we use to run our website and practice tools; where providers are involved, we expect them to handle data only on our instructions and with appropriate safeguards.

We retain information for as long as needed for care, legal, accounting, or regulatory requirements, then delete or anonymise it where appropriate.

Local storage & cookies

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies on this website. Your browser's local storage (not a cookie) is used only to:

• Keep you logged in between visits, so you don't have to re-enter your details every time;
• Remember your upcoming appointment so we can show you a reminder banner and quick reschedule/cancel options;
• Support the online booking flow (for example, resuming a booking after you log in).

This information stays on your device, is never sold, and is not shared with advertisers. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings, or by logging out.

Your rights

Under applicable law (including principles similar to those in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where they apply to you), you may have the right to:

• Request access to or a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• Withdraw consent for optional processing (such as certain marketing messages), where processing is based on consent;
• Ask questions or raise concerns about how we handle your information.

Some requests may be limited where we must keep certain records for clinical, legal, or safety reasons. We will explain any such limits when you contact us.
